National Geographic Television interviewed Samira and her sisters for a "September 11th, A Year In Focus" special. The story focused on Samira's personal life and how it influenced her business. The segment aired September 11th, 2002 and featured a contemporary top and skirt Samira designed out of burqa. The burqa design was featured at Ira Pinto Art Gallery in Washington D.C
